Hong Kong, Hong Kong – On April 4, Kate Wong launched a Kickstarter campaign for the PAQ Mask, a new generation electronic mask with 4-layer replaceable filter that provides reliable respiratory protection. This is the first electronic mask that uses a patented Micro-Ventilation System.
The Micro-Ventilation System uses a micro motor to create a mini-current which drives fresh air in through a replaceable 4-layer filter. It ensures a healthy breathing experience.
“We take around 20,000 breaths every day and air is essential for our survival,” says founder Kate Wong. “When we breathe poor quality air, it can severely damage our health and contribute to asthma, respiratory diseases, cancer, strokes and even death.”
Unlike other masks on the market, the PAQ Mask uses a specially designed valve to prevent expiratory air and moisture from being retained in the mask, keeping the flow of air fresh and odorless. It provides reliable respiratory protection at least 98% filtration efficiency against most of germs and allergic particles.
The mask is ergonomic, light weight, and uses food grade material for comfort and safe wearing. A simple food-grade 3D-silicon bumper fits perfectly for most faces and helps to prevent air leakage. This helps ensure no unfiltered air get in the mask.
“From idea, we try several prototypes in different sizes and shapes,” says Wong. “Finally, we found the best shape and materials. We have done a test run for product testing and got CE and Rohs approval. It was also tested by a 3rd party lab and it shows the Filtration efficiency reach 98.2%.”
